Mountainbiking in the Rhön hills There are lots of mountainbike trails to tour in the Rhön. Oberweissenbrunn is a perfect base from which to explore some of those 1200 km which will lead you up and down across our mountain range. In our house you will find some suggestions for planning your tours for free. For further information, click here. Walking and hiking in the Rhön hills The Rhön, elevated in the middle of Germany up to 950 meters above sea level is known for its woodless hills, which will give you a great view to the surrounding countryside. The outstanding natural beauty of this landscape with its unique flora and fauna has been recognized as a reserve of biosphere by the UNESCO in 1991. Skiing in the Rhön Not far from our house (about 5 minutes to walk) you will find
the ski ressort Arnsberg.

Cross country skiing in the Rhön If there is enough snow skiers can start near our apartment (approx. 100 meters.) They will be able to exercise their sport even in the dark, because the area is illuminated between 6 and 8 pm. For further snow information click
