Oberweissenbrunn (620 meters above sea level ) is a little village (about 600 inhabitants) in the beautiful Rhön hills, which reach up to 950 meters. The unique landscape formed by the vulcanism of former days was officially recognized as a Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO in 1991.

Our village is a perfect base from which to explore the outstanding natural beauty of this mountain range.

If you like outdoor sports you will find a great variety of walking and hiking areas. Nordic walkers will do, as well.

The Hochrhöner a newly opened long distance trail leads you to the Kreuzberg (an old monastery, well known for its self brewed beer) as well as to the Wasserkuppe ( souring started here early in the last century/ paragliding).

If you prefer mountain biking there is a huge selection of really excellent tours just starting from here.

In wintertime skiers and snowboarders only have some minutes to walk to ski lift Arnsberg and if there is enough snow, cross country skiers can start not far away from our house.

And even if there should be a rainy day, you will find indoor swimming, museums or just welcoming little towns to discover, easy to reach by bus (bus stop approx. 50 meters) or car.

In our village you’ll find a grocery’s shop and a restaurant which will cook for you in traditional regional style.

Our apartment is newly opened and tastefully decorated with all the comfort of modern living.

There is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom (one bed 1.4 m for 2 people and one single bed)

Parking at the house

There is a lockable shed for the storage of bycicles and other sport equipments.
